Announcing Bwsiti, a new product set to slash the cost and revolutionise the efficiency of local travel services

Caernarfon, Wales – Geosho, the location based services company announces the release of Bwsiti, a new product set to totally revolutionise the UKs £2.4bn Local Bus Service market by creating highly-cost effective live bus travel information systems through simple connectivity of ubiquitous smartphone and tablet devices.

Through an intelligent system that uses smartphones and tablets to track, learn and publish bus routes and locate live traffic and bus travel status, Bwsiti (Pronounced “busitee” meaning “a bus for you” in Welsh) removes the need for many aspects of the multi-million pound bus travel information systems in use in the UK today. For the first time such systems can become a reality for public transport operators and communities previously unable to contemplate the level of investment required.

Bwsiti is a groundbreaking product that is already helping the public in a Welsh Local Authority better plan their journeys and via anonymised journey analytics will help transport planners to implement more appropriate and efficient timetables as well as better locating stops and route access points.
Bwsiti is underpinned by the powerful Geosho mobile and mapping platform that enables rapid data processing and expert management of location and bus travel data courtesy of its web based Geographic Information System (GIS). The system can identify repeated disruptions to scheduled journeys such as traffic congestion, road works, specific events or school runs and inform users of expected arrival times.
